mobileBook: Short Guide to Shalat Janazah

Salat al-Janazah is a prayer recited by Muslims at Islamic funerals after the wrapping of the body and before the procession. The spoken part of the prayer involves quietly reading Al-Fatiha, praying for Muhammad and saying two supplications. This is done with an Imam present and facing qibla; in the direction of Mecca.

mobileBook Series: Shalat Sunnah

Sunnah salat (Arabic: صلاة السنة) are optional prayers that can be performed by Muslims at almost any time of the day. These prayers are performed in addition to the five daily prayers, which are compulsory for all Muslims.

There are a range of prayers available: some are done at the same time as the compulsory prayers, some are done only at certain times, e.g. late at night, and some are only done for specific occasions such as during a drought. All of these optional prayers were originally performed by Muhammad.

Sahih Bukhari Volume 1

The authentic collection (Arabic: الجامع الصحيح, al-Jaami al-Sahih) or popularly al-Bukhari's authentic (Arabic: صحيح البخاري, Sahih al-Bukhari) is one of the Sunni six major Hadith collections (Hadith are oral traditions recounting events in the lives of the Islamic prophet Muhammad ). Sunni view this as their most trusted collection.
The title of his collection could loosely be translated as "al-Bukhari's Authentic Sources". (Sahih is an Arabic word, one of whose meanings is "authentic".)
These prophetic traditions were collected by the Muslim scholar Muhammad ibn Ismail al-Bukhari (810-870) and published during his lifetime. He was a scholar from Bukhara, hence the name by which he is known. He traveled widely throughout the Abbasid empire, collecting traditions. He is said to have spent sixteen years writing down those traditions he thought trustworthy.
